VEIL
Threshold – Presence – Innocence regained
« Principle of the Veil – Harmony of the threshold »
The Veil — Harmony of the threshold
The Veil is not a wall or an opaque screen: it is the point of presence that makes movement habitable. After passing through the seven principles, we return to the Veil — that living threshold where inner and outer touch without consuming each other, where consciousness is neither drowned in phenomena nor folded in upon itself. It suggests a limit and a passage, innocence regained, silence, harmony.
The faces of the Veil
- The living threshold — limit and passage
- Innocence regained — simplicity after the crossing
- Silence — the calming of grasping
- Harmony — rightness without friction
- The deep present — neither past nor future as tyrants
- The membrane — measured permeability
- Presence that holds — lucid benevolence
- The breathable centre — the first found again
Veil Meditation
Sit in simple silence. Let thoughts pass without holding or chasing them. What you seek is neither emptiness nor control: it is that calmer point where you no longer quite merge with what passes through. If it appears, recognise it without grasping it.
Veil Practice
Choose a being or a presence you love without calculation. Stay with that quality of connection which asks for no return. Then gently widen: let this presence become a little more available to reality. Honour in yourself that place which still allows you to listen, to love, not to be reduced to your reflexes.
